SCARY ISLAMOPHOBIC CRIME STATISTICS REVEALED IN UK
According to statistics from the UK Home Office, Muslims account for almost half of the victims of recorded religious hate crimes in the country.
For the year ending in March 2021, crimes against Muslims accounted for 45% of the total number of crimes committed by the British police, motivated by sectarian hatred.
Muslims have become victims of this type of crime 2,703 times over the same period, IslamNews reports citing the Evening Standard.
Zara Mohammed, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain, condemned the hateful acts of violence and called for measures to prevent them. In connection with the observed negative trend in the UK, November has been declared Islamophobia Awareness Month.
As part of the information campaign, the population will be enlightened about the problem of prejudice towards Islam and Muslims.
