Tragedy of Gaza and the West: when the last mask falled

November 06, 2023

In any case, the truth remains that it is not people who change – their masks fall off.

I wonder when people will begin to understand that occupation is not synonymous with resistance, and persecution is not synonymous with the struggle for freedom.

One of the results of the ongoing tragedy in Gaza is that the masks are falling off. The events are indicative. It is time to clearly understand who is who and what is what in the grand scheme of things both domestically and internationally.

Gaza and the Palestinian case in general have been doing this for a long time. However, this time the situation is different. The current episode marks the culmination of the process.

Gaza has become like a furnace that detects and isolates iron impurities (in the case of Gaza, hypocrites and outright villains are exposed and put to shame), separates and also purifies iron (in the case of Gaza, good people are not only identified, but also find themselves in the spotlight and more more exalted both on earth and in heaven).

In saying this, one cannot help but recall the words of the Prophet about the city of Medina, which since its founding has functioned as a microcosm of the Islamic message and civilization.

The Prophet said:

“Medina is like a blacksmith’s forge: it expels impurities (bad people) and gathers the best, and then makes them even more perfect” (Al-Bukhari).

The unfolding tragedy is accompanied by all sorts of political, media and even pop cultural scandals. Everyone wants to stand up for what is right and be heard. Everyone wants a piece of the pie, so to speak.

The noise is deafening – just like the silence and indifference that reigned before the tragedy – the distractions are annoying, and the stories are endless.

This condition is intended to obfuscate the simple truth that – although unbelievers and political criminals may not like it – there is a bloodthirsty usurper and oppressor, installed and supported by the protagonists of the prevailing diabolical world order, on the one hand, and a victim, which for almost a century has been denied any degree of freedom and humanity that can be created within or transmitted from without, on the other hand.

Thus, people should not be distracted by the number, sizes and shapes of masks or how and where they fell, but instead should focus on who and what was revealed, and how to deal with the new realities and their main characters.

Some discoveries may be surprising but shocking, overturning earlier realizations and perspectives. In any case, the truth remains that it is not people who change – their masks fall off. For this reason, it is rightly said that a wolf can change its fur, but not its character.

Western line to support Israel

Unfortunately, the Western values defended by many countries, such as freedom of speech, freedom of belief, equal access to opportunity, fairness and objectivity, are openly rejected.

Consequently, governments compete to see who can most forcefully and eloquently express their support for the Zionist state, and who will condemn and punish the oppressed and dispossessed Palestinians.

It is not surprising that the United States, Great Britain, France, Germany and other European Union countries are at the forefront of [such] fashion.

Their multinational news channels and websites – CNN, Fox News, BBC, Sky News, etc. – are trendsetters, feasting on the wealth of coverage and information available to enable them to succeed in their nefarious mission.

Moreover, their institutions – socio-political, economic, educational, cultural and even sports – have been turned into virtual temples of Zionism, on the altars of which all humanity and rationality are sacrificed, and the staff of these institutions have been turned not just into devotees, but also into missionaries .

As a consequence, the West has been institutionally “Zionized”, causing snobbery and deceit to fill the air. Everywhere you look you will find nothing but lies and chauvinism. Indeed, the West has long been deprived of any responsibility and self-esteem.

For example, a coalition of 34 student organizations at Harvard University in the United States issued a pro-Palestinian statement in response to open violence in Gaza.

The students said they hold the Israeli regime fully responsible for all the unfolding violence between Palestinians and Israelis after decades of occupation. They added that the blame lies solely with the Israeli apartheid regime.

However, as soon as the statement was published, there was a barrage of criticism and attacks from the country’s political and business elite, many of whom are prominent Harvard graduates and legislators.

They just went crazy. They asked that the names of the students be named, even if it would jeopardize the lives and future careers of [the signatories], that they be blacklisted, and that their affiliation with the university be “removed.”

In addition, France and Germany banned all pro-Palestinian demonstrations, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said: “At the moment there is only one place for Germany – a place on the side of Israel.”

Similarly, in England, the Football Association wanted to light up the Wembley Arch in the colors of the Israeli flag in response to a letter from the UK government calling on the sport’s governing bodies to mark “terrorist attacks” on Israel accordingly. However, the FA later decided not to do what was originally planned “for fear of a backlash from some communities”.

The government was unhappy and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Lucy Fraser expressed her disappointment, saying:

“This is particularly disappointing in light of the FA’s bold stance in relation to other terrorist attacks in the recent past. Words and actions matter. The government [has] been clear: we support Israel.”

In the same vein, former US President Donald Trump called for the impeachment of Muslim congresswoman Rashida Tlaib “due to her silence on Hamas terrorism.”

Previously, [a video of] Talib went viral after she refused to answer repeated questions from a reporter in the hallways of Congress “about Hamas’ terrorist acts and brutality against Israeli civilians.”

It is expected that in the field of education there will also be attempts to defend the conventional Western point of view on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. No non-Western (non-Israeli) elements should be allowed or tolerated.

To illustrate, shortly after the Gaza massacre began, “a public school district in Massachusetts sent its teachers [a link to] a resource claiming that Israeli terrorism has historically been significantly worse than that of the Palestinians.”

The content of the resource was genuine, and the comments on it were quite sensible. Everything has been scientifically proven.

As expected, the move was rejected and harshly criticized, denouncing it as biased and “un-American.” Accordingly, Parents Defending Education Director of Federal Affairs Michelle Exner said Revere (Mass.) Public Schools “should be ashamed” for spreading “anti-Semitic lies and propaganda.”

She insisted:

“It boggles the mind that anyone, let alone educators associated with American K-12 classrooms, would try to find a moral equivalence between the people of Israel and evil terrorists who persecuted and brutally killed innocent people, including babies.”

Likewise, ESPN, NBA and Hollywood among others or the rest did not want to be left behind in their unwarranted and blind support for the terrorist state of Israel.

More than 700 actors and Hollywood executives signed an open letter condemning Hamas for its “barbaric terrorist attacks in Israel.” However, this is where things get a little interesting.

The authors of the Hollywood open letter emphasized:

“The nightmare Israelis have feared for decades has become a reality as Hamas terrorists have infiltrated Israeli cities and towns… Under cover of thousands of rockets fired indiscriminately at civilians, Hamas has killed and kidnapped innocent people, women and children. They kidnapped and killed babies and old people. They raped women and mutilated their bodies.”

It certainly takes more than just an extraordinary level of moral apathy and mental idiocy to come up with something like this. This requires a complete renunciation of earthly prudence, decency and entry into a hellish covenant.

Israel is a “child” of the West

The illegal creation of the State of Israel is shrouded in endless mystery and controversy. Some are political, others are economic, but very few—perhaps even none—are purely religious.

However, it is clear that Israel was created by the West, primarily by Britain. Britain wanted to make Palestine its permanent colony (a Crown colony), but this proved unfeasible in the long term.

The valuable alternative was the creation of a Zionist state in Palestine in the heart of the Muslim world.

John Philby (1885–1960), a British scholar, Arabist and explorer who converted to Islam in 1930 and became an adviser to King Abdulaziz ibn al-Saud, said that even when England planned to keep Palestine as its colony, the British government used Jews in its interests.

The circumstances were similar to a political game of the highest level. Nevertheless, John Philby’s personal opinion was that “England must withdraw from a country that rightfully belonged to the Arabs.”

On the other hand, Zionist Jews were encouraged by the chaos and attendant uncertainty that was increasingly engulfing the region.

Thus, the stubborn position of David Ben-Gurion (1886–1973)—the main Zionist leader, Israel’s founding father, and the country’s first prime minister—was that “the Jews had the right to return to Palestine; if necessary, they will fight for this right” (John Philby, Ibn Saud and Palestine).

This alliance between the West and Israel was more rational than principled. It was a marriage of convenience (conventional union or strategic marriage) that resulted in the birth of an illegitimate “child” (geopolitical entity) called “Israel.”

It could also be argued that this was a way to absolve the West of any responsibility for the horrors that Jews endured during World War II, especially in the West. It also cannot be completely ruled out that the West wanted to “constructively” get rid of recurring Jewish troubles in this way.

This meant a kind of permanent solution in which both the West and Israel would emerge victorious.

It is true that long before World War II, Zionist Jews longed for a Jewish state in Palestine, and that this dream would somehow come true sooner or later, with or without the Holocaust, but the role of the West is to hasten, realize and facilitate this proposal , undoubtedly, was the key.
