Sports have a remarkable ability to bring people together, transcending boundaries of age, background, and culture.

Making a positive impact in the community, Lancaster Islamic Community Hub (LICH) will launch a new football tournament next month, bringing together players of all ages, veterans and refugees.

The tournament will promote fitness, stamina, team spirit, and community building.

“By bringing players from different backgrounds onto the same field, the tournament will encourage community interaction amongst a growing Muslim population of the city,” the organizer, Imtiaz Khoda, told Lancaster Guardian.
