IN WHAT AYATS OF THE QURAN DOES SPEAK ABOUT THE MOSQUE OF AL-AKS?
The first qibla in Islam is the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem (al-Quds), the shrine of three religions. The site suffagah.com lists verses that refer to this mosque.
In the Islamic tradition, the names Masjid al-Aqsa, Bayt al-Maqdis or al-Aqsa mosque were assigned to the Jerusalem temple, i.e. a temple built by the prophet Suleiman (Solomon) (peace be upon him) on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Masjid al-Aqsa was the first qibla in Islam, i.e. she was addressed during prayer. After the conquest of the city in 638, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) built a sanctuary on the site of the then destroyed temple, which was repeatedly expanded and rebuilt by various caliphs in later times and is now known as the al-Aqsa mosque. Al-Aksu should not be confused with the Dome of the Rock (Qubbat al-Sahra), an octahedral mosque with a golden dome that has become a symbol of Jerusalem.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلاً مِّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ البَصِيرُ
“Glory to the One who transferred His slave at night to show him a part of Our signs from the Mosque in Masjid al-Aqsa, the surroundings of which We gave blessings. Indeed, He is the Hearer, the Seer ”(al-Isra, 17/1).
All commentators of the Quran are unanimous that this verse refers to the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem (Nawawi, III, 327). This passage refers to the event of Isra and Miraj – representing the miraculous night journey of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to Jerusalem and his ascension to heaven. According to historical records, Bayt al-Maqdis was destroyed in 70 AD. But in its place some kind of sanctuary was still preserved. It was he who was visited by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
This is the only verse that specifically mentions the name Masjid al-Aqsa. In all other cases, it is not named, but commentators on the Koran believe that it is about it.

2. وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ يَا قَوْمِ اذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ اللّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ جَعَلَ فِيكُمْ أَنبِيَاء وَجَعَلَكُم مُّلُوكاً وَآتَاكُم مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ أَحَداً مِّن الْعَالَمِينَ .
يَا قَوْمِ ادْخُلُوا الأَرْضَ المُقَدَّسَةَ الَّتِي كَتَبَ اللّهُ لَكُمْ وَلاَ تَرْتَدُّوا عَلَى أَدْبَارِكُمْ فَتَنقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِينَ
“[Remember] how Musa said to his people: ‘O my people! Remember the mercy shown to you by Allah when He appointed prophets among you, made you lords and bestowed upon you that which He did not give to any of the inhabitants of the worlds. Oh my people! Enter the sacred land that Allah has prescribed for you; do not turn back [from fear of her rulers], or you will suffer damage ”” (Maida, 5 / 20-21).
The sacred land is Quds (Jerusalem) and its surroundings, i.e. Palestine.

قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْداً وَسَلَاماً عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ
وَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْداً فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَخْسَرِينَ
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَلُوطاً إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَالَمِينَ
We commanded: “O flame! Become cold and salvation for Ibrahim. ” They wanted to [destroy] him with cunning, but by Our will they suffered the greatest damage. We rescued him (ie Ibrahim) and Lut and brought him to the land, which We blessed for the inhabitants of the worlds. ”
According to the interpreters of the Quran, the land referred to in the verse as blessed by Allah is Palestine (Quds / Jerusalem). After his salvation, the prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) moved here, he lived in an area called Sura al-Khalil.

وَأَوْرَثْنَا الْقَوْمَ الَّذِينَ كَانُواْ يُسْتَضْعَفُونَ مَشَارِقَ الأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبَهَا الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ الْحُسْنَى عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِمَا صَبَرُواْ وَدَمَّرْنَا مَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ فِرْعَوْنُ وَقَوْمُهُ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعْرِشُونَ
“We have given as an inheritance to those who were previously neglected, the lands east and west on earth. We blessed this land, and the wonderful word of thy Lord, given to the children of Israel, because they were patient, has come true ”(Araf, 7/137).
The land referred to in this verse is Palestine. After the sons of Israel escaped the Egyptian captivity, they settled in Palestine, where they founded their kingdom.

فَخَرَجَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ مِنَ الْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَى إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيّاً
“And he [Zakariya] went out to his people from the prayer room and inspired them [with gestures]:“ Glorify [the Lord] morning and evening! ”(Maryam, 19/11)
The prayer house (mihrab) in this verse means the Jerusalem temple, which served as a place of worship at that time, i.e. Byt al-Maqdis.
6. وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ آيَةً وَآوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَى رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعِينٍ
“We made the son of Maryam and his mother a sign and put them in a shelter on a hill, where a stream flowed in a secluded place” (Muminun, 23/50).
According to the interpreters of the Quran, the hill mentioned in the verse is the one that is now called the Temple Mount, where al-Aqsa is now located.

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَاجِدَ اللّهِ أَن يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ وَسَعَى فِي خَرَابِهَا أُوْلَـئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ عَظِيمٌ عَذَابٌ الآخِرَةِ فِي وَلَهُمْ خِزْيٌ الدُّنْيَا فِي لهُمْ خَآئِفِينَ إِلاَّ يَدْخُلُوهَا أَن
“Who is a greater sinner than the one who forbids the remembrance of His name in the temples of Allah and who seeks to destroy these [temples]? Such people should not go there without a sense of fear. Shame on them in this world, and in the next world – great torment ”(Bakara, 2/114).
Quran commentators report that this verse was revealed about the Romans who destroyed the Temple of Jerusalem or Bayt al-Maqdis and killed its parishioners (Tafsir Qadi Baydawi).

إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا فَإِذَا جَاء وَعْدُ الآخِرَةِ لِيَسُوؤُواْ وُجُوهَكُمْ
وَلِيَدْخُلُواْ الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُواْ مَا عَلَوْاْ تَتْبِيراً
“If you do good, then do it for yourself; if you do evil, then again for yourself. When the last period of punishment [for your atrocities] comes, [then We will direct new enemies against you] so that they will harm you, enter the mosque, just as [their predecessors] entered the first time, and that they should destroy to the ground than they took possession ”(Isra, 17/7).
Quran commentators are unanimous that the mosque in question is al-Aqsa.
