Saudi Arabia to open the world’s first “flying museum”

Al-Ula, an amazing region of Saudi Arabia known for its natural and archaeological sites, offers a wide range of seasonal and year-round activities for local and foreign tourists, according to Arab News.

At the end of October, the world’s first “flying museum” began operating here, which is a joint project of the Royal Commission for Al-Ola and Saudi Arabia’s national air carrier Saudia. A museum has been set up on a plane flying between the capital and al-Ula, which displays replicas of artifacts found in the region during archaeological excavations. Passengers will also be able to watch a Discovery Channel documentary entitled Architects of Ancient Arabia, which was released this year, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
