TODAY IS ARAF DAY

TODAY IS ARAF DAY
July 08, 2022 09:10

Today the Day of Araf has come, and with it the days of Takbir at-Tashriq.

The Day of Arafah is the day of standing in the valley of Arafah during the Hajj. It is known that it was here that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ read his last sermon. From that, pilgrimage to these places is an integral part of the holy hajj. But not all Muslims can meet this day in the Arafa Valley. Therefore, believers who do not perform the Hajj must observe fasting on this day and spend it in worship and prayers. The virtues of fasting on the day of Arafah are reported in the hadeeth:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): “I hope that for fasting on the day of Arafah, Allah will forgive the sins of the previous and next year” (Muslim).

Simultaneously with the Day of Araf, the Days of takbir at-tashrik came and they will last until July 12. These days, starting from the morning prayer on July 8 to Ikende prayer inclusive on July 12, after each farz prayer, believers pronounce takbir-tashrik (23 times in total):

Мужчины произносят такбиры вслух, а женщины – шепотом.

Пусть Всевышний примет наши благие намерения, добрые поступки и посты и позволит нам встретить Курбан-байрам!
