HAPPY NEW HIJRI YEAR 1444 TO ALL MUSLIMS!

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh!

By the will of the Almighty, tomorrow, July 30, 2022 according to the Gregorian calendar, the first day of the month of Muharram begins, which opens a new, 1444, year according to the Muslim calendar, leading from the Hijra of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) from Mecca to Medina.

Muslims do not celebrate the Hijri New Year in any special way, but this is a period when we reflect on the significance and lessons of the Prophet’s migration, and also strive to use the benefits of these days to draw closer to Allah by performing additional religious acts: prayer, fasting, alms etc.
