After Morocco shocked the world by defeating Portugal, the mothers and sons of players took to the pitch, joining in the cheers and enjoying the love of the fans, the National News reported.
Sofiane Boufal celebrated with his mother, as head coach Walid Regragui found his mother Fatima in the crowd.

Achraf Hakimi was also dancing with defender Romain Saiss and his son.
Choosing Morocco
Though several players were born elsewhere, they opted to play for the North African nation.
The team’s families stayed close so that the players feel the love which in many cases led to them choosing to play for Morocco.
“For me, my mum is the most important thing in my life,” said an elated Boufal, who was born in France, after the Spain win.
“Of course [she was crying], the emotions in this game make you crazy. The support of your family is the most important thing.”
Similar scenes repeated last Tuesday after Morocco defeated Spain to reach the quarterfinal.
Scoring the winning penalty for Morocco, Achraf Hakimi went rushing over to his mother.
Born in Madrid to Moroccan parents, Hakimi had already gone viral days earlier after embracing his mum, Saida Mouh, following the Atlas Lions’ victory over Belgium.
“I love you Mum,” he tweeted in Arabic following that game, with a heart emoji.
The status of parents in Islam is very high. Muslims should give respect and love to their parents.
Allah says in the Qur’an, “Your Lord has ordered you to worship none except Him, and to be good to your parents.” (Quran 17:23)
