Islamic Charity, Burnley FC Join Hands to Donate Food Packs to Needy
A few days after distributing food packs with Liverpool FC, Islamic Relief UK partnered with Burnley FC to donate food parcels to the needy.
As part of its winter distribution drive, the Islamic charity gave out 500 essential food packs to vulnerable people.
“We would like to give a special thank you to @IslamicReliefUK @IslamicReliefNW who kindly came down to the Foodbank today to donate food parcels,” Burnley FC wrote on Twitter.

Winter Drive
Working with around 23 partners across the UK, Islamic Relief UK works to deliver vital food supplies to those in need in 2023.
Burnley Football Club is an English association football club based in Burnley, Lancashire. It competes in the EFL Championship, the second tier of English football, following relegation from the 2021–22 Premier League.
The club operates a community foodbank that is located in the heart of Burnley town center.
With increasing energy bills and living costs, winter months have become a challenge to many families to make ends meet.
Islam lays a great emphasis on the virtue of neighborliness. It also stresses on Muslims’ individual duty to be good to their neighbors.
Last week, Islamic Relief partnered with LFC Foundation to distribute 500 essential food packs to vulnerable people across the city.
